Dan started Summit Heating & Air in 2011 with one used van, a set of gauges, and a list of former customers who wanted the same technician back. The first few years were mostly repairs in the older parts of Boise, where an original furnace in a North End basement or a swamp cooler on a Bench roof was still the norm. A second truck came later, along with a technician Dan trained personally. That is still the whole crew. A few things have changed since then. Heat pumps that hold up in a Treasure Valley winter went from a rare request to a standard option. Mini-splits went from a specialty install to something we do every week in additions and garages. Newer subdivisions in Meridian and Kuna added a lot of builder-grade equipment that is now reaching the age where it needs real service. And hard water has kept us busy with scaled-up humidifiers all along. What has not changed is the size of the company and who runs it. Two trucks means Dan sees every invoice, every callback, and most of the jobs.
What we promise on every job
Workmanship
Every repair is covered on labor for one year. If that repair fails within the year, we come back, fix it, and do not bill you for the labor. Parts carry the manufacturer's warranty, and we file the claim for you.
On time
You get a two-hour arrival window when you book. If the truck is going to miss it, you get a call before the window opens, not after. If we miss the window and nobody called, the diagnostic or trip fee is waived.
Price
After the diagnosis, you get a written price for the repair before we touch anything. That number does not go up if the job takes longer. If we find something else during the repair, we stop and ask before adding it.
Satisfaction
If something about the visit is not right, call Dan directly at (208) 555-0142. The owner takes every callback and sends a truck back to look. With two trucks, there is nobody between you and the person who can fix it.
We service every brand
We repair every major furnace, air conditioner, and heat pump brand sold in the Treasure Valley, along with builder-grade units in newer subdivisions and older equipment in Boise basements. Our trucks carry universal parts for the most common failures, and we source brand-specific parts from local suppliers, usually within a day. For new installs, we quote more than one brand so you can compare.
