Replace an aging furnace before October
Boise usually sees its first freezing nights in October. A furnace that struggled last winter, short-cycled, or needed more than one repair may not get through another season. September is the month to replace it. Install dates are open, equipment is in stock, and you are not picking a system on the coldest day of the year. We measure the house, size the furnace to it, and finish most installs in one day.

You get a written price before work begins, and it does not change if the job runs long. If a system is near the end of its life, we show you the repair cost and the replacement cost side by side.
The Owner's Word Guarantee
Every job from Summit Heating & Air is backed by the Owner's Word Guarantee. Repair labor is covered for one year, and parts carry the manufacturer's warranty. If we are late without calling ahead, the trip fee is waived. The written price you approve is the price you pay. If something is not right after we leave, Dan takes the call and sends a truck back.

Our AC quit on a Saturday in July when it was 103. The tech was out by 4 that afternoon, found a bad capacitor, and had it running in under an hour. He also showed me the coil was packed with cottonwood and rinsed it while he was there. Fair price for a weekend call.
ac-repairWe replaced the original 2008 unit in our Paramount two-story. They ran a load calculation instead of just matching the old size, and it turned out the old one was oversized. New system is quieter and the upstairs finally holds temperature. Install took one day and they cleaned up.
ac-installationFurnace stopped on the first cold night in October. I called at 7 am and had someone here before 10. It was the igniter, which he had on the truck. He also pointed out our filter slot was the wrong size and the filter had been bypassing air for years. Fixed both.

It carried the house through a week of single digits in January without the backup kicking on. The crew was careful with the drywall on the line-set run.

Summit Heating & Air is based in Boise, ID and runs two trucks across Boise, Meridian, Nampa, Eagle, and Kuna. Calls inside the city are usually a 15 to 25 minute drive for whichever truck is closer. The west end of the valley and the newer subdivisions to the south add 20 to 35 minutes each way, so we group those visits by area when we can. Most of the Treasure Valley is inside a 40 minute drive of our shop, and we plan the day so the two trucks are not crossing the valley in opposite directions. There is no travel charge anywhere inside Boise, Meridian, Nampa, Eagle, and Kuna. If you are outside it, call anyway. We take jobs a bit farther out when the schedule allows and tell you up front if the drive adds to the price. Same-day service is available across the area for no-heat and no-cool calls, first come, first served.
